Republic of Korea, Concluded agreement for establishment of International Centre for Documentary Heritage with UNESCO

Through 39th session of the General Assembly of UNESCO, function, role, setup, and finances of International Centre for Documentary Heritage, which is decided to be established in Cheongju, Chungbuk, Korea, were confirmed and Republic of Korea and UNESCO made a promise to cooperate for preservation of Memory of the World.

International Centre for Documentary Heritage, which is established through the agreement, takes charge of development of research · education · policy, related to post management of documentary heritage which is designated as a UNESCO Memory of the World.
